The FREE download of MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the Macintosh offers
the following advanced all-in-one MP3 jukebox features:
Unlimited CD-quality MP3 Recording - Using world-renowned Fraunhofer MP3
encoding technology, you can record an unlimited number of high-quality MP3s
from your own personal CD collection at constant and variable bit rates (CBR
and VBR) of up to 320kbps. You can also record your music in AIFF format. No
other all-in-one MP3 jukebox software for the Mac offers this feature for
FREE.
Music Library - After downloading MP3s from the Internet or recording them
from your own CDs (or from cassettes and albums if you purchase the Plus
version), use MUSICMATCH's flexible and sophisticated Music Library to
organize your MP3 music by a number of pre-set or custom categories such as
artist, album, song title, genre, mood or preference. MUSICMATCH's unique
"Auto DJ" feature also lets you automatically create custom play lists by
selecting music that matches the categories you choose. Multimedia MP3
Tagging - MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the Macintosh supports ID3v1 & v2
tagging, which lets you easily add multimedia-rich information to your MP3s
like album art, artist bios, liner notes.
CDDB Support - Whether you're listening to a CD on your Mac or converting
songs into MP3s, MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the Macintosh provides
instant access to CDDB, which automatically downloads album, artist and
track information and displays it in the "Playlist" and/or "Recorder"
windows. You can only access CDDB when connected to the Internet.
Play MP3s and Music CDs -MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the Macintosh lets you
create and save custom play lists by dragging and dropping tracks from your
"Music Library" into the "Playlist" window. And, you can view album art in
the "Media Window" or open the "Track Info" window to view notes, bios and
lyrics from tagged MP3s. The integrated CD player also lets you drag and
drop the CD icon from your desktop into the "Playlist" window to begin
listening instantly.
Custom Themes/Skins - Changing the look and feel of your MUSICMATCH Jukebox
2.0 for the Macintosh is a snap. Simply select and apply one of the
custom themes/skins including Xenon, Oxygen and Digital Age or you can use
the built-in skin which incorporates native Mac controls. More themes/skins
will be available in the coming weeks.
Portable MP3 Player Support - MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the Macintosh
also lets you easily download individual tracks or complete MP3 playlists to
USB-enabled portable MP3 players like the Creative NOMAD II, giving you
instant access to your music anywhere.
2. Changes & Fixes since the last release:
New features since the 1.02 release include Apple Script Support, the
ability to play(decode) streaming content MP3/M3us, the ability to
play(decode) AIFF, the ability to convert to/from AIFF and MP3,
multiple-track tagging support, enhanced AutoDJ, the ability to detach the
playlist, and several usability and user interface improvements, including
focus rings, Mac borders, and Mac standard scroll bars.
If you purchase the Plus version of software you will get a graphic
equalizer, line-in encoding capabilities, multiple CD drive support, 20%
faster encoding and support for CD burning through Toast. If you own a
CD-burner and Adaptec's Toast software, you can create your own music CDs
from your MUSICMATCH playlist.
Known issues:
・ If you remove the disk containing an MP3 while that MP3 is playing, MMJB will crash.
・ MMJB will not correctly play some low bit-rate or mono AIFF files.
・ MMJB will not correctly convert some low bit-rate MP3 files.
・ Under MacOS 8.6, running without CarbonLib installed, the audio portion of enhanced CD's will not show up in the OS, ergo, they can not be ripped in MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0. CarbonLib is available from Apple at <http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/searchresults?searchview&query=carbonlib>
・ There are white edges on the windows in the Xenon skin.
3. Reporting Issues or Bugs
To report issues or bugs found while using the software, please use the
online reporting method available within MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the
Macintosh. Simply select "Help" --> "Request Technical Support" from the
tool bar while the program is running, enter the information regarding the
issue or bug discovered, and select "OK" to send the information to
MUSICMATCH (you must be connected to the Internet). Please provide as many
details as possible so that our QA team can replicate the problem and
resolve it as quickly as possible.

thoroughly review the release of MUSICMATCH Jukebox 2.0 for the Macintosh,
